Policies

Cancellation Fees:

  • Up to 8 weeks prior to event: free of charge
  • 8 - 4 weeks prior to event: 35% of rental fee
  • 27 - 14 days prior to event: 50% of rental fee
  • 13 - 7 days prior to event: 75% of rental fee
  • 6 - 3 days prior to event: 100% of rental fee
  • Within 48 hours of event: 100% of rental fee + 50% of booked food and beverage charge

Guarantee & Billing:

We require accurate attendance information no less than 72 hours (3 business days) prior to the event, as well as the meal / arrangement selection. This number will be considered a guaranteed minimum attendance and will be charged to the host. Further attendance will be billed additionally. We will bill according to actual attendance (for attendance greater than guaranteed), but no less than the guaranteed attendance (for attendance less than guaranteed).
In the event the actual attendance exceeds the guaranteed attendance by more than 5%, we ask for your understanding should it prove impossible to adhere to the desired course order.

Pricing & Invoicing:

Our prices include all taxes, dues and gratuity. Valid until recalled.
Invoices are payable within 13 days of invoice date. We do not offer cash discounts. Late payments will accrue default interest. Vienna jurisdiction applies.

Beverage Charges:

When no other prior arrangements have been made, beverages will be billed according to actual consumption.

Carry-in foods and beverages:

No foods or beverages may be brought into the hotel for consumption without prior written authorization of the hotel. The hotel reserves the right to assess respective surcharges for carry-in foods and beverages.

Music:

If you are planning musical entertainment for your event, we urge you to request the necessary permits from the AKM (Society for Authors, Composers and Music Publishers in Austria), to pay the amusement tax in advance (MA 4, Tel.: 01 / 42 800-2449), and to provide the authorization documents for our review one week prior to your event.
Should the other hotel guests experience excessive noise, we reserve the right for a designated hotel staff member to terminate the musical entertainment. Music is generally permissible at tolerable noise levels until midnight.

Liability:

The event host will be held liable for any damages caused by guests, colleagues or agents of the host. The hotel only assumes liability for damages to or loss of carry-in items when the hotel is at fault but under no circumstances when due to third-party fault.

Hotel Cancellation:

The hotel reserves the right to cancel the contract in the event that it has been determined that the event would disturb smooth business operation, the event host violates legal restraint, the reputation or safety of the hotel is at stake, or in the event of acts of God. Under no circumstances will the event host have a claim to compensation.
